Validating ELSUR records
This section describes how to use OSS-ESPA's ELSUR Record Validation.
This feature requires option E14 Sentinel. If you do not have this option this feature is not available.
OSS-ESPA's ELSUR Record Validation allows you to automatically test that the received ELSUR messages meet your requirements. You can configure OSS-ESPA to automatically monitor specific lawful interception standard formats, for any number or combination of known parameters or values. It then identifies and notifies you of any deviations from your requirements. The level of automation and efficiency may be increased when combined with carrier automated intercept surveillance systems, or systems that simulate actual surveillances at scheduled times.
-
Create ELSUR validation references as described in How to create an ELSUR validation reference.
A validation reference consists of: a specific Lawful Interception (LI) standard, a specific message type from that LI standard, and one or more rules. Rules are a series of parameter or value identifiers, with an associated condition and result. When you save a validation reference you can enter a validation reference name which is meaningful to you.
-
Optionally, create ELSUR validation groups as described in How to create an ELSUR validation group.
A validation group is a group of validation references. Grouping validation references together makes them faster to assign and remove from cases.
- Create a case to perform ELSUR validation, then apply your required validation references and groups to the case, as described in How to create a case to perform ELSUR validation.
- View the validation results as described in How to view ELSUR validation results for a case.
