Whooster/CLEAR Request Wizard dialog box
This topic describes the purpose of the Whooster/CLEAR Request Wizard dialog box and all the settings and buttons on it.
This feature requires option E6 Public records data. If you do not have this option this screen is not available.
The Whooster/CLEAR Request Wizard dialog box allows you to select a minimum of one phone number whose associated CDRs you want to request a CLEAR or Whooster match on. This screen is opened from the People and devices screen.
If you require information on requesting a public record match refer to Using public record files when investigating a case.
Select a minimum of one phone number whose associated CDRs you want to request a CLEAR or Whooster match on.
NOTE: It is not just the phone number displayed that a CLEAR or Whooster match is requested for, it is all the phone numbers listed in the associated CDRs.
Select which public records database you want to do a match on.
For Whooster you can also select:
- Current phone info: this retrieves the current name and address for the phone number.
- Historical phone info: this retrieves everything from Current phone info, and additionally includes all previous names and addresses for the phone number.
- Advanced: this retrieves everything from Historical phone info, and additionally includes the Person Credit Header.
- Advanced plus: this retrieves everything from Advanced, and additionally includes social media profiles and online advertising summaries. The primary Web sites searched are Craigslist and Backpage.
Click to clear all the selected phone numbers.
Click to select all the phone numbers.
Click to request a CLEAR or Whooster match on the CDRs associated with the selected phone numbers. All the phone numbers listed in the associated CDRs are then exported by OSS-ESPA to an xml file format and sent to Thomson Reuters CLEAR or Whooster.
All the phone numbers in the associated CDRs are included in the xml file apart from:
- Duplicates due to one number including the country code and the other excluding it.
- Voicemail numbers (*86).
- Toll free numbers (1-800, 1-888, 1-877, 1-866, 1-855 and 1-844).
A message is displayed below the People group on the on the People and devices screen when the request is being performed.
