Deconfliction search screen
This topic provides an overview of the Deconfliction search screen and all the settings and buttons on it. However if you require a step-by-step procedure on performing a search refer to Performing a deconfliction search.
Note: This screen is only applicable for accounts configured with option E26 SRN.
The Deconfliction search screen performs two types of searches:
-
Identifier search
This tab performs a search on other agencies' data that your administrator has configured agreements with.
Searches can be performed on: license plates, names, phone numbers, IMSI, IMEI and social media data. Note, when searching on an IMSI or IMEI set Search type to Phone number. The search results are returned by email, typically within five minutes. An email is received from each agency along with a final summary email that combines all the agency results. Where a match is found, the case owner's email is included so that you can contact them if required.
An example is shown below of two email results from individual agencies, and also a summary email.
Also performed is a deep identifier search in your OSS-ESPA account which returns all people, cases, and communication data (if the search is related to the phone number). It also performs a search on other agencies' data that your administrator has configured agreements with and lists the other agencies where the identifier was found.
In Local system deep searches click
then in the Search summary, click the item of interest to display the search results. You can also click on the info cards for further person details. For a target you can select a case name to view the phone's communications within that case, or for associates you can select the check-box to open their communications at the bottom of the screen. In addition to the search results displayed on the screen, you can also click
to download an html file of the X-Case analysis and other agency matches, and click
to download a csv file of the calls. -
Batch search
This tab performs a search on multiple identifiers at once. To perform a batch search you must upload a file containing all the identifiers you want to search on. Identifiers can be phone numbers, IMSI, IMEI, names, license plates, and social media accounts. The identifiers must be listed in the file under a column titled Identifier; a template file is available on the screen for you to download if required. Once imported a search is run, on both targets and associates, on your OSS-ESPA account. The report, which details all the cases your identifiers were located in, along with useful details such as the name, email and phone number of the person who created the case, is made available on the screen for you to download by clicking
. The search is also performed on the Global identifier's white list. An X-Case search is only performed on cases which have Enable deconfliction (X-Case data search) selected. As with the identifier search described above a deep search is also performed.
Enter the string of data you want to search on.
Select the type of data you want to search on. Searches can be performed on: license plates, names, phone numbers, IMSI, IMEI and social media data. Note, when searching on an IMSI or IMEI set Search type to Phone number.
Select if you want to include associates in your search results. If you do not select this then your search is only performed in the target names added to cases and not the data found in the target's uploaded files, such as a phone number that the target called.
