To create an IQ packet for an existing case

The following steps describe how to create an IQ packet for a case that you have already created. That is, you have already created the case information, locations, and uploaded the relevant files.

NOTE: Depending on the permissions configured by your administrator you may only be able to create IQ packets if you are the case creator, a case assignee or an administrator.

  1. For the case you want to create an IQ packet for, open the Manage case screen.

  2. On the Manage case screen click New IQ packet.

    The New IQ packet screen opens.

    If you prefer to use the wizard to manage all your case details then on the Manage case screen, click Go to wizard, click IQ packets (reports) and then click Add IQ packet.The New IQ packet screen opens.

  3. In Period enter the data range you want used in the IQ packet.

  4. In Output select the format of your IQ packet.

  5. In Content select what you want included in your IQ packet. Refer to Content for further information. For example, for resolving IPv4 addresses, you would select Custom IQ packet, then create a custom report that included "Frequent IP".

  6. In Select phones select which phone numbers you want included.

  7. In Select analysis locations select which locations you want included.
  8. In Select view locations select which locations you want included.
  9. Click Request IQ packet.

    The IQ packet status screen opens. Initially it will detail "IQ packet requested" but after a short time this will change to "IQ packet running". The length of time it takes to generate depends on the size of your IQ packet, but once complete it details "IQ packet completed". You can then click the IQ packet which is listed under Downloads available. The IQ packet is named using the format of <case name><date><time>.

    If you want to open the IQ packet subsequently it is available in the IQ packets (reports) section of the Manage case screen.
