Managing Sentinel reports generated from the Sentinel Report Manager
This topic describes how to create and delete Sentinel reports, and how to create, edit and delete Sentinel report templates.
This feature requires option E14 Sentinel. If you do not have this option this feature is not available.
NOTE: This topic is not relevant to reports generated using the Evidence Management and Reporting screen.

On the main menu click Intercept Center, then click Sentinel Reports.
The Sentinel Report Manager screen opens.

There are two methods you can select to create your report, either create it from an existing template where the settings are already populated and you can just edit those that you require to change, or create a new report without any settings being populated at the start.
A new report without a template
- Click Create report. The Create new report screen opens.
Using a template
- Click to expand Your report templates.
- Click the template name you want to use. The Create new report screen opens.

In Report Name enter a name for your report.
- In Type of report select what type of report you want to create.
- This step is only required if you selected Quick report in the previous step. In Quick report type select which type of quick report you want to create. For further details on what these reports are for refer to Quick report type.
- In Export file select whether you want your output file to be HTML or text.
- This step is only required if you selected HTML in the previous step. Select Locations are hyperlinks to Google Maps if required.

Click Save then click Next.
The Report format screen opens.

Select the type of output format for the report. The options that are available are dependent on what you selected Type of report and Export file. The selection you make here impacts what other settings you can select. For further details on what these report types look like refer to the Report format screen.
If you select:
Grid summary
- In the table use the check-boxes to select which data you want included in your Sentinel report.
Grid detail
This setting is only available if you previously selected the HTML file format on the Create new report screen.
- In Grid detail options select which data you want included in your Sentinel report.
Log detail
- In Include in log select which formats you want included, you can select either or both.
- If you selected ASN.1 value notation then in Include in ASN.1 value notation select what you want to include.

Click Save then click Next.
The Review screen opens.
- Click Submit to run your Sentinel report. The Sentinel Report Manager screen opens. Once completed your report is available for you to download in the Your complete reports tab.

On the main menu click Intercept Center, then click Sentinel Reports.
The Sentinel Report Manager screen opens.
- Click to expand Your complete reports.
- Use the check-boxes to select the reports you want to delete then click Delete selected.

To create a new report template use the same process as described in To create a Sentinel report ensuring you create it without selecting an existing template, then on the Review screen, which is the final screen, complete the following steps:
- Select Save report format as template.
- In Template Name enter the name.

Click Save template.
- If in addition to creating the template you also want to run a report then click Submit.
- On returning to the Sentinel Report Manager screen, your new report template is now listed under Your report templates.

To edit an existing report template, including any of the settings or the template name, use the same process as described in To create a Sentinel report ensuring you select the existing template that you want to edit.
- Change any of the settings you want to ensuring you save them before moving to another screen.
- If you want to change the template name then on the Review screen, which is the final screen, in Template Name enter the name then click Save template.

- Click to expand Your report templates.
- Use the check-boxes to select the templates you want to delete then click Delete selected.
